Stock can be managed for each variation of your product individually.
Manage individual variation stock:
Navigate to – Dashboard → Products
- Click on the variable product you would like to edit using the edit icon
- On the product edit screen, scroll down to the ‘Attributes and Variations’ section
- Select the variation you would like to manage stock of
- With the variation panel open, make sure the ‘Manage Stock’ checkbox is enabled
- Once enabled, a stock quantity box will appear where you can add in your quantity for that variation
IMPORTANT NOTE: In order to manage stock, the variation stock status needs to be ‘In Stock’. You can also allow back orders for variations that are out of stock or when it becomes out of stock. If you do allow back orders, please make sure time frames for back orders are clearly displayed in your product descriptions.
